Yes - we are truly independent. We don't have solution partners or vendors sponsor our benchmark. The members of the Award Jury are not sponsored by vendors or solution providers. BNP Consulting^® that founded the CMS & Portal Benchmark/Awards  (that started the CMS & Portal Benchmark^®) have an undisputed record track of independent consulting within international companies.

"We are an Open Source CMS /Portal and is loosely organised". How do we organise the reply?

In fact we also judge you as an organisation. That means that we judge the ability to answer a RFI as an Open Source organisation as well. The previous year's benchmarks have shown that the best replies have been delivered by Open Source organisations even though they were loosely organised. If you as an organisation can't organize a reply we encourage 1-4 solution providers to reply on the mini/main RFI together. We will mention these active solution providers by name and a link to their company homepage from this website and mention them by name in the "CMS and Portals Insight" report.

We are (at the moment) a local CMS/portal Vendor - how do we make a present...?

Local vendors have developed CMS/portals that give great value to local companies. Often we see that they have developed some quite innovative solutions that are better than the global vendors. We will indeed emphasize the skills of strong vendors that could be ready to enter the global market.

We have to spend time and resources answering the Main RFI - What do we get in return?

How much does it cost to participate in the CMS & Portal Benchmark^®?

It is free to deliver the reply of the Mini RFI. If the vendor enter the Main Benchmark the CMS & Portal Benchmark^® Team use time and resources to analyse you reply and get to know your system and organisation to give it a good evaluation. In fact the CMS & Portal Benchmark^® Team use about 20 hours in evaluating your system including the interview dialogue with the experts of your organisation. Beside analyzing the system, the Benchmark team will use additional 20-30 hours to deliver a review of your system. To cover the expenses we charge 1500 Euro for participating in the CMS and Portal Benchmark^®.

Who can enter the CMS & Portal Benchmark^®?

Every local and global vendor can reply on the Mini RFI and if the reply of this is satisfactory, they can enter the Main CMS & Portal Benchmark^®. In the Main CMS & Portal Benchmark^® you will be judged as either a global vendor or a local vendor that is strong on a regional market.

Is there a deadline for entering the benchmark?

Yes - we have a tight time schedule.

How are the nominees chosen?

Does the entry need to be in English?

Yes, we do not have the resources to translate material to English.

How do you pick the jury?

The Award Jury of the CMS & Portal Awards is picked by their expertise and knowledge of CMS and portal systems.

How do I know if my company is already nominated to deliver a reply to the main RFI?

If your company is not mentioned on the Nominees page, you are probably not nominated. If you have not participated in the Benchmark before you have to reply on the Mini RFI before contacting us.
